The following is instructions on how to set up your mail.
EMAIL SETUP FOR OUTLOOK EXPRESS
1. Open Outlook Express
2. Open the tools menu
3. Select Accounts
4. Click on Add -> Mail
5. Put in your name, click next
6. Put in your email address, click next
7. Enter the following information:
a. Incoming mail server is a POP3 server
b. Incoming mail server (POP3): pop3.digital-ranch.net
c. Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.digital-ranch.net
8. Under account name put your user name (such as: "user@domain.com")
9. Put in your password, click next
10. Click Finish
EMAIL SETUP FOR OUTLOOK
Outlook from Office XP, 2003:
1. Open Outlook and click on the Tools menu then click Email Accounts.
2. Choose "Add a new Email Account," then "Next."
3. Choose "Pop3" for the email type, then click "Next."
4. Fill in the account information Given to you by Support.
- YOUR NAME: This is how you are known on the internet
- EMAIL ADDRESS: Your Current email Address
- USER NAME: The login name provided by TDR
- PASSWORD: The password for the email address
- INCOMING MAIL SERVER: This is the server where your mail is located which is pop3.digital-ranch.net
- OUTGOING MAIL SERVER: This is the server that sends your mail which is smtp.digital-ranch.net
5. Click the "More Settings..." button
6. Click on the "Outgoing Server" tab
7. Check "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication"
8. Click the "OK" button
9. Click "Next" then "Finished."
10. Restart Outlook
*** Don't put a check in Log on using Secure Password Authentication (SPA).
*** If using a dial-up connection or Check mail through another ISP, you will need
SMTP Authentication. In other words, the ISP might require that you use their
SMTP server instead of the one listed above. Your ISP will have this information.
You can also use the web mail interface to check your mail at
http://webmail.digital-ranch.net
Outlook from Office 2000:
1. Open Outlook and click on the Tools menu then click services.
2. Click on the Services tab. If you have an account here from a previous provider and you will
not be using it in the future you should remove it (click once on the account to highlight it then click Remove.)
3. Click on Add then click “Internet-E-mail” then finally “OK” to start the process.
4. Enter a name for the profile – it can be anything.
5. Under user information enter:
- Enter your full name. This is the name people will see in the 'From:' field when you send mail and can be anything you want. (a nickname, your full name, in all caps or lower-case, etc).
- Enter your organization if applicable
- Enter your full email address
6. Click the “Servers” tab.
- Enter your incoming mail server (POP3) as pop3.digital-ranch.net.
- Enter your outgoing mail server (SMTP) as smtp.digital-ranch.net.
- Enter your account name as your full email address
- Enter your password (case sensitive)
- You may select the option to remember your password
- Check “My server requires authentication”
- Don't put a check in Log on using Secure Password Authentication (SPA).
7. Click the “OK” button to save the new account.
8. Close the Services window to return to Outlook.
*** If using a dial-up connection or Check mail through another ISP, you will need

1. Open Windows Mail
2. Open the tools menu
3. Select Accounts
4. Click on Add
5. Select E-mail Account, click next
6. Put in your name, click next
7. Put in your email address, click next
8. Enter the following information:
a. Incoming e-mail server type is POP3
b. Incoming mail server (POP3): pop3.digital-ranch.net
c. Outgoing e-mail server name (SMTP): smtp.digital-ranch.net
9. Under e-mail user-name put your user name (such as: “user@domain.com”)
10. Put in your password, click next
11. Click finish
