The following are instructions on how to set up your mail.

EMAIL SETUP FOR OUTLOOK

 Outlook 2007, 2010 and 2013:

1. Open Outlook and click on the File menu then click "Add Account".
   *Outlook 2007: click on the Tools menu then click "Account Settings", click "New".
   a. Select "Microsoft Exchange, POP3, IMAP, or HTTP" and click "Next".
2. Choose "Manually configure server settings or additional server types", then click "Next".
3. Choose "Internet E-mail" (2007 & 2010) / "POP or IMAP" (2013) for the email service, then click "Next".
4. Fill in the account information given to you by Support.
  • YOUR NAME: This is how you are known on the internet
  • EMAIL ADDRESS: Your current email address
  • ACCOUNT TYPE: Select "POP3" (see below for IMAP configuration)
  • INCOMING MAIL SERVER: This is the server where your mail is located which is securemail.digital-ranch.net
  • OUTGOING MAIL SERVER: This is the server that sends your mail which is securemail.digital-ranch.net
  • USER NAME: Your current email address
  • PASSWORD: The password for the email address
5. Click the "More Settings..." button.
6. Click the "Outgoing Server" tab.
7. Check "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication".
8. Click the "Advanced" tab.
9. Check "This server requires and encrypted connection (SSL)".
10. Confirm that the Incoming server (POP3) shows "995" for the port number.
11. Change the port number next to "Outgoing server (SMTP)" to "587".
12. Click the drop down menu next to "Use the following type of encrypted connection" and select "SSL".
13. Click the "OK" button.
14. Click "Next" then "Finished".

*** Don't put a check in Log on using Secure Password Authentication (SPA).

*** IMAP: if you would like to setup your email account as IMAP then select "IMAP" for ACCOUNT TYPE. Incoming server (IMAP): 993 and Outgoing server (SMTP): 587 - select "SSL" for both servers.

*** Windows Live Mail, Mac Mail, and Android Devices use Port 465 for the Outgoing SMTP server.

*** If using a dial-up connection or Check mail through another ISP, you will need
SMTP Authentication. In other words, the ISP might require that you use their
SMTP server instead of the one listed above. Your ISP will have this information.

EMAIL SETUP FOR IPHONE

1. From the home screen, select “Settings”. Then select “Mail, Contact, Calendars”.
2. Select “Add Account…” then select “Other”.
3. Select “Add Mail Account” and input the following information in to the corresponding fields:
- Name: your name
- Email: your full email address
- Password: your email password
- Description: this field is auto-filled, no input necessary
Select Next
4. Select the “IMAP” button and enter in the following information for the “Incoming Mail Server”:
- Host Name: securemail.digital-ranch.net
- User Name: your full email address
- Password: your email password
5. Enter in the same information for the “Outgoing Mail server”:
- Host Name: securemail.digital-ranch.net
- User Name: your full email address
- Password: your email password
6. Select Next. Your account will be verified.
7. Verify that "Mail" is turned on and select “Save”.
8. Select the account you just created. Next, select “Account” to configure Advanced & SMTP settings for the Outgoing Mail Server.
9. Select “Advanced”. Confirm that “Use SSL” is switched ON and that the “Server Port” is 993.
10. Go back to the Account menu and confirm that the SMTP settings are correct by selecting “SMTP”.
11. Select “securemail.digital-ranch.net” (Primary Server).
12. Confirm that “Use SSL” is switched ON and that the “Server Port” is 587.
